Integrating the World of Reddit with Snapchat

This week we dive into a social media platform that I am personally not very familiar with, Reddit. A quick rundown: Reddit is a huge collection of forums that cover almost any subject you could think of. These forums are called subreddits. Now that we know the basis of what Reddit it is, let's talk about the integration of Reddit with Snapchat.

This really surprised me that Reddit would be the first to team up with Snapchat, but I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em right? According to socialmediatoday.com, Reddit has launched a new content sharing integration with Snapchat so users will be able to share their favorite Reddit posts through a snap. Reddit hopes to not only reach more of Snapchat's younger users, but also provide a way for creators to promote their own content and drive more discussion.

This is good move for Reddit. Even though I am not a member of the Reddit community, it will boast their member numbers by integrating with Snapchat. As I've mentioned in my previous blog posts, I think Snapchat is a platform that is innovative and constantly changing in the right ways with today's society and much quicker to jump on a new trend compared to other social media platforms. Good for Reddit for realizing the potential it has to grow by partnering up with them.
