Facebook is Rebranding

New update in the world of Facebook. The social media platform has released a new logo and some branding for the company. With this change they're hoping to bring more awareness to consumers about what apps are under their ownership, as well as their reach. As for whether or not this will appease those who want to break up the social media giant, only time will tell. While Facebook seems to be taking this seriously, there is still concerns about all the personal information and data they've collected in the past. I think it's interesting that Facebook has decided to rebrand because to me it seems like they are trying to distance themselves from that image and controversy that occurred in the last year. I also don't know how people will take the rebranding, sometimes people can reject a rebrand and Facebook's rebrand seems quite different from their original branding. I think it will take a lot of time for people to adjust to the new branding, and I'm not sure how accepting they will be of it either. While the logo itself doesn't seem to have changed too much they do seem to be approaching their brand in a new direction, just with the same idea. It will be interesting to see what else they decide to do for the brand and how they decide to distinguish the apps they own from the one they don't in the future. If you want to read more about the logo and rebranding you can find the article here.

  1. Facebook has been around for a long time, so it will be interesting how people react. I didn't know about this at all before I read this! This will be a drastic change to the brand and platform in general. Because it is a social media platform, I'm sure they are going to hear a lot about it on it.
